ASH - Action on Smoking and Health
ASH is a charity set up by the Royal College of Physicians in 1971. This website includes details of the aims and organisation of ASH, a directory of its branches and a list of ASH publications. Press releases and a range of fact sheets on such topics as children and smoking, passive smoking and smoking statistics are available full-text.


Bandolier : smoking and stopping
One in a series of "Bandolier Knowledge Resource Centres" that collate and make available a collection of quality evidence resources relating to medical issues. This collection focuses on smoking and stopping smoking and contains articles that have appeared in Bandolier and links to relevant Web resources.

Clearing the Air: How to Quit Smoking and Quit for Keeps
A booklet aimed at smokers produced by the National Cancer Institute, which is part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health. It covers preparation for quitting and knowing what to expect, ways of quitting, withdrawal symptoms, etc.
